Clayton E. Fairbrother

Biography:  Clayton Edwin Fairbrother was born March 11, 1912, in Oregon City, Oregon.  He was the son of Clarence Melvin Fairbrother and Carmen Ida Ritenour.  His enlistment record indicates he completed four years of high school and worked in the manufacture of paper and pulp.

Service Time:  Clayton entered the military on October 19, 1942, at Portland, OR.  At some point, he was assigned to the 6th Tank Destroyer Group where he is listed on the payroll roster of December 31, 1943.

After returning to the U.S. and leaving the military, he married Phyllis J. St Sauver, who was born in White Bear, Minnesota, and was the daughter of William St Sauver and Mary L. Ferguson.  The ceremony took place in Stevenson, Washington, on January 18, 1946.

Clayton passed away on April 4, 1964, in Oregon City, and was buried in the Mountain View Cemetery, Oregon City, OR.
