• Just wanted to say thanks for the info you have put together on this website... You are making a family friend and proud Veteran of the 813 TD unit a happy man... I am pulling all of the unit history for James Frey for him to relive and remember...He was in the Recon Co. for 7 months before being wounded and transferred out in Jan or Feb 1945... His memory is still clear and he has some interesting photos and stories... Next chance I get, I will see if I can get his photos and scan them and forward them onto you for posting...and set up an Honor page for him... Thanks again, Paul Lemley for PFC. James N. • My father Joseph J. Ewick was in the recon co. of the 704th tank destroyer batallion. He was wounded on March 17th 1945. I have his clas book from pine camp and other books from the army about the fourth armored div.

• We hope you received our message. If not, we much appreciate your WWII service. We wish you God's blessings for you and your family, Mr. Sutton! Joy's father served as Army nurse from Mar. 1941 until war's end. Jonathan served 1970-72 in Project White Coats at Ft. Detrich.

• In memory of my Father, Anthony J. Kasprzak who left this earth August 26, 2005. He served our country proudly in the 643 TD BN. I appreciated the historical depiction of this website. I would like to thank the surviving Veterans and families of those gone before us for their service for our freedom. Thank you for your time and dedication to these Veterans.

• Thank you for this wonderful site dedicated to the Tank Destroyers. My dad served in the Recon Company of the 629th. He said little about the war except he was proud of the men he served with and the job that all of them did. Now that I am retired I am researching our family tree and dad's service during the war. If anyone has any suggestions that could help my search I would greatly appreciate it. God's blessings to you all.

• I am the son of Lester N. Leininger, machine gunner in F Co, 329th, 83rd Div. The 302 TD Bn was attached to the 83rd Div. during Normandy and St Malo and as I map out the trajectory of the 329th the history of the 802 naturally is of interest.

• Thank you so much for this website! My father, George M. Jordan, was a Tec5 in Hq platoon, recon company of the 811th TD Bn. He attended the 811th reunions yearly from 1956 until shortly before his death in 1993. In 1985, he gave the book that you have made available on this website, "History of 811th Tank Destroyer Battalion," to the US Army Command and General Staff College Library. He would be so pleased to know that you have made it available for all to see.
