My Father Raymond Derome was a Surgical Technician for the 629th Tank Battalion. We are interested in getting more information and possibly furnishing you with more pictures. Is there anywhere that would have more information on the medical units?
My Dad is 91 and this website has definitely peaked his interest. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

My grandfather was Lt. Col. Leslie H. Cornaby who commanded the 640th TD Battalion. The men in his unit meant a lot to him and I thank you so much for creating this site to honor all these veterans.

My father, 1st Sgt Marshall Epperson was with HQ Company of the 822nd TD Battalion during WWII. His nickname was Epp. Two friends that he talked about when I was a child were Sloan and Stejano. My father passed away in 1974 so it's been great to look at this site and get some information about the tank destroyers.

My great uncle was SSgt. Marvin L. Bowlin. He was in the 899th Company "B." My understanding, based on what his sister (my Grandma) told us was that he was killed by friendly's. I would love to know more. Thank you for such a fabulous site. God bless our Veterans!

My uncle, Richard Hazelton Betts, served with the 809th and crossed the bridge at Remagen before it was destroyed. I will be contacting my cousins so that they make enter his biography into this pantheon of heroes.

My uncle, Fred Sullivan, Sr. was a member of the 822nd Tank Destroyer Battalion. He is still going strong at 89 years young. I will send you info to include him on the site.
Thank you for doing this. This is incredible!

Excellent site! I have studied the TDs for years before I served in the 635th TANK Battalion, 35th ID (National Guard) in the late 80s. I understand the 635th TD was re-designated a tank battalion when it was reactivated as a National Guard unit. I shared my knowledge at the time with my fellow Guardsmen about the tank destroyers - seek, strike, destroy!
