My uncle, Robert "Buddy" Lehan served with the 638th. He was killed on 12/24/44. He's buried at the Henri-Chappele burial grounds in Belgium. I have not one picture of Buddy. I contaced his son In Mississippi. They have nothing. If there are any pictures of Company C, it would mean a great deal to me if I could be directed to them. Thanks again.

Very nice website you've built here and I'm glad to see so many visitors. My father had A Company of the 811th until he was captured two days before Christmas in 1944, although he did finally manage to make his way back to the battalion after being held as a POW for two months.
He would have been 93 today if he hadn't died of cancer in 1965, and the shame of it was that he had just been notified of his selection for brigadier general only two weeks before the diagnosis.
General Brownfield was my godfather and I went to his funeral at Arlington late last year, and it was just as moving as those service funerals always have been.
My question is, are reunions still being held by the 811th?
