On Jan. 29, 2011 one of the Tank Destroyer man passed, Leo L. Murray of Minnesota was a Tank Commander in the 814th he will be missed by many people. Thanks to him and all the men that fought for our freedom. He was my hero.

I can identify that photo of an unknown platoon that is in the photo section. It is one of the gun platoons from 601st TD BN, Company B. I have a copy of that same photo which was supplied to me by Capt. Robert Maynard of Suttons Bay, Michigan. He was the CO of Company B at the end of the war. That photo was taken in Salzburg, Austria.
My father, T5 Howard L. Purvis, of Louisburg, KS was a driver in company B from North Africa to the end of the war.
