My uncle, Paul Burgess, of Texas was a crewman of an M-18 in the 704th. He received the Bronze Star in Germany for an action in which his vehicle was destroyed. He suffered severe shell shock in that action.

My grandfather Emmitt ‘Red’ Rideout was in the 705 TD battalion c company, 3rd platoon. He was apart of the tanks that came to help in Bastogne. My family doesn’t know a lot about my grandfathers time during Ww2.. or even photos. He must have missed picture day for his platoon photos at fort Lewis (1944). If anyone has any info or if anyone knows any vets still alive who may have knew him, please email. Its really important to me to know. ANYTHING will help

My father, Arthur J Carlin served with the 605 Tank Destroyer Battalion Company 'A' same as Joseph P. Helm. I see no other information on the site about my father. But I did find Joseph P. Helm posting. Seems he and my father left for Europe and arrived on the same day. Wonder if they knew each other.

My cousin Leo J. Davis, Company I, 801 TD BN was KIA at Percy France 1 August 1944 while conducting reconnaissance. He was a radioman in a Jeep when killed. He was from Minot, ND and buried at Rosehill Cemetery Veteran Section. He was well liked and had a baseball field named after him in France.
