I believe my grandfather was in the 899th tank destroyer battalion. Couldn’t find his name. Was wondering if you had any information on him? I know he talked about Herschel Briles when I was little. They both were from Colfax, IA. Thank you

Hello to all 603rd TD Bn survivors and family members.
SGT Charles Beveridge was with CO B. His M18 was the Blue Rocket. Wondering if any CO B families are out there. We are re constructing their route and following city by city with a French citizen guide starting 13 November 2019. We could use any information possible for the trip!

Dad trained with 824th tank destroyers, fought as a rifleman replacement at Selestat in Colmar pocket with 636th tank destroyer batallion. It appears that 601st tank destroyer batallion was attached to the 103d division as part of Task Force Selestat. What was the role of the tank destroyers at Selestat with 103d division.
Thanks and thanks for your service. Greg Underwood at GregColmar@hotmail.com

Came across this site while doing some research for my wife into her father Louis Kline and his service with the 605th TD Batt. 102nd Infantry. He joined at Ft.Custer, apparently Camp Custer back then. Have some of his documents, but he spoke little of his service other than being a Corpsman and while suffering pneumonia, the aid station he was assigned to and a patient at was captured. Released by the Germans, he later apparently spend time as a Corpsman on prisoner transport ships out of Nice France. Just a bit confusing to the family.
