  • I submitted my uncle's name and picture (Arthur J Curry) because I was hoping someone might remember him and be able to shed some light on what experiences he had with Company A, 817th Tank Destroyer Battalion. He was never the same person after he returned from the war. Only now do I understand what he might have experienced to render him in that state. I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on him.

  • My Dad was SamS Ficarola Tech 5 th grade with the 824 th Tank Destroyer Battalion with them from Marseille to Innsbruck.DC paper says under citations and awards EAME TH SER MED w/2 BR STARS. he died 6/4/08

  • My Dad, Cleo B Roloson, also known as “Lee” and “Tex” served during WWII, beginning Jan. 9, 1942 through June, 1945. He was given a Bronze Star, Purple Heart and a few other medals which I need to find out about. He hardly ever talked about the war but did love watching the old WWII movies and Combat. I have a collection of pictures he took during the war and he kept very good track of where he fought. He had a friend he called “Erkstine” who is in many photos with him. I know it’s a long shot, but I would love to hear from anyone who knew him.

  • My dad (Garland Taylor Graham) served with the 630 TD in WWII. His records were burnt in the 70's and dad never talked about the war. I do know he was in a fox hole at the Battle of the Bulge for many days. God Bless all that have served our country - you will never be forgotten!

  • My father Charles w Sanders served with the 654th t d b co b headquarters . All the stories we were told growing up as kids can be found in the daily reports . Its amazing how acute the reports and memories matched . Can't imagine sneaking into the service at 15 , and serving in a war . I always acknowledge every veteran I meet , we will soon loose all the ww 11 vets.

David Poretz

  • Bernard Poretz (my dad) was a member of the 601st. He trained at Fort Knox. I have the Company Picture marked "Co. B, 5th Armored Replacement Battalion - Capt Leroy S. Billman Comdg." taken on Feb 1942. I am looking for any information about him or any pictures of his battalion. His discharge papers had him as Co A 601st TD Bn.

  • My Dad was Samuel W. DeStephano who served in 804 TDD, Co A. I sent some of Dad's photos to this site years ago. I thank you again for this wonderful site. If anyone has family who were in the 804th, I would be happy to send paper copies of these photos to them.
