Sgt Paul P Weaver

  • Sgt Paul Weaver was a gun commander. Took a panzerfaust at Hilden on 16 April 1945, (fired by a civilian). Life-threatening wounds on the neck - survived. He later did 2 years of burial detail as an Honor Guard Commander. I (son - Raymond), have several really nice photos of him with his half-track - much detail.

  • My dad is Melvin H. Miller. He served in C Co.,801st TD Bn..I knew of one buddy named Joe Meyers from Wisconsin. Mark DeBrecht's photo of the human pyramid shows my dad on the top left,in T shirt,and no helmet. Caption did not know if they were from C Co,but,my dad was in C Co. I have his 801st unit book that was given at discharge. He never liked to talk about the War,but, the stories he did tell were great. My dad passed in 1987 at 66 years."Gun Up"!
