My uncle Jack Crowe was in 801st TD Bn. He passed away after a battle with cancer. A great man a hero to me. Always there for me and anyone who needed a helping hand. I was trying to find more about his war time experience. A great place to look.

My Dad (Mark Cobb) is at the bottom right in the 2001 Kentucky reunion picture.
He spoke fondly of these reunions and really loved going with my brother who lives in Franklin, Indiana. Unfortunately he is no longer with us. But I really appreciate this site in remembrance of his often mentioned Army unit.

The photo of Half-pint sitting on the motorcycle was my Dad, Ralph L Vining. He was 4'11" and lied about his height to join the Army.

My father (CPL Marshall Smith) was in the 656th Company C. He is in the web site picture dated 11/10/1944. 2nd row 1st on the left. He passed away in 1973 at the age of 48. I was 17 at the time and never had a good chance to speak to him about his service. It was really nice to see a picture of his company. I have no pictures from his service days. I would love to hear from anyone who has a history of their service

My Dad Captain Maurice Ziegler served in 636th TD battalion company C. He was severely wounded a day or two before Rome was taken but survived due to skin grafts and penicillin. He had me in 1969 and spoke much about the war and some of the brave friends he lost during that time. He passed of natural causes in 1998.

Great site!
Especially of value to me, are the photographs, in order to see not only the activities, but the clothing, equipment, and conditions these men experienced.

This is my grandfather! He died before I was born, and my mother, Parker, never spoke much about him. Although she is extremely smart and just a bit off from the rest of the family. My name is Haley Rivers, she is Parker Steele Rivers. Please feel free to reach out. 713.391.9442 Thank you for writing this; it's a beautiful tribute!

Great site! My great uncle Leroy Hecker was in company B of the 610th. Was wondering if anyone could tell me more about that company?
