  • My stepdad was Wayne Moore - he spoke very little about his experience in Bastogne with the 705 td. I've always wondered what grief he must have experienced during that ordeal. My hat is off to all those brave men who faced the germans there. If anyone happens to have known him, I would be very grateful for any information you could share with me. Many thanks.

  • My father S. Sgt. George Owsley was with the 603rd TD Battalion and was looking up some history. Thank you so much for making this site available. Out of his estate we have pictures of the battalion and will be contacting you to see if you would like copies.

  • When working as a project officer for Combat Developments Command, I was told that the M60A1E2 was "a damned tank destroyer." I then consulted WWII manuals and learned enough about TD deployment to write tactics for the "damned thing." I have been intrigued by the TD concept ever since.

  • My grandfather Graden James Cook was in the 631st. I am grateful to him and everyone else who has served. I am lucky to have a 13 year old son who is very active in studying WW2 and the history afterwards. We have a few pictures but not much. If anyone has more we would be interested in seeing them.I believe his rank was S/Sargent. Thank you. :) :)

  • I am somewhat a history buff (WWII) and seeing as to how my father-in-law, Cpl. Clifford Jack (RIP) served this great country of ours in the 603rd, I am interested in learning more about what he did, where all he went. Mr. Jack passed away a few years before I met and married his wonderful daughter, so I never got the chance to meet him. I have been reading his diary, preserved all his medals, commendations, citations etc. to present them to his grandson (my stepson) when he turns 21.

  • My dad was int he 8th in WWII from 42 to 45.My friend has a small WWII museum and I donated some memorabilia to it.We had a pin we didn't know what it was but have since discovered it was an 8th pin.
