I am the neice of 2nd Lt. Weldon Griffin. I am brand new to this website but have already seen two pictures of my uncle, one taken in 1985 and the other August 1945.
I have pictures taken of my uncle during WWII with his dog Wolf. I will be happy to search for them and have prints made to send to the site.

Hello,
I have enjoyed visiting this site. I’m the Chief Instruction at the 138th Regiment (Combat Arms) at Camp Atterbury, Indiana. The 138th has direct linage to the 638th Tank Destroyer Battalion formed early in WW II. We wear the “Seek and Destroy” Distinctive Insignia. I’m researching the 638th TD for a historical exhibit in a wing of our building. Being located in Indiana and an Indiana National Guard unit, we would like to find information on any Indiana soldiers who served in the 638th during WW II. Our intent is to honor our linage with information, photo’s and museum style exhibit cases of replica/reproduction artifacts. If anyone can help us with Indiana soldier information and or photographs, please contact me.

What a great site. I am an avid armor model builder currently working on an M 18 Hellcat and your site helped a lot. Thanks, John.

I didn't mention in my earlier posting that my father, Rusell Newell of Co B 607th died in 1984.
Also, I found a good website for the Field Artillery Officers' Candidate School at Fort Sill for those who are interested. They are having a reunion April 30- May 3,2014. http://faocsalumni.org
I also want to honor two TD men who were killed in action and are buried in the National Cemetery in Memphis, TN: 1 Lt Richard A. Reynolds of Co B, 607th and 1 Lt Richard J. Merrill, of Co C 610th

This site is great! I am researching Alan Dean Tuck's (my father) history. He was in C Company 813th TD, wounded near Berg Germany in December 1944. In 1976 I was able to visit the area with him.

This website is great. My grandfather served in the 703rd TD BTN in the 3rd armored division from the beginning until the end of WWII. He started out with the M10 TD and graduated to the M36 towards the end of the war. This is the only site I've seen dedicated to the men who fought in tank destroyers. It was really great reading their histories. Please contact me as my grandmother and I would love to share his story and pictures from WWII. His name was SGT Frank Walker.
