Charles Brown III

  • My Dad is Charlie Brown (C. H. Brown Jr.)and served with the 648 Tank Destroyer Batallion during WWII. He was wounded in the battle in Sauubruken and was beside Pfc Aldo Poloni who was KIA. He lives in Amarillo, is 88, and has a burning desire to establish contact with the next of kin of Poloni, probably in California. He knows that Poloni had two sisters, but wih marriages and changes of name, they may be difficult to contact. If anyone can help or would like to visit with my Dad, please contact me via email and I'll make it happen. I would really like to visit with Gary Payne. Thanks

  • My father was a member of C.co,506th PIR,101st Airborne.His company entered Noville which was being heavily attacked by the Krauts (his word). Five enemy tanks attacked his position, when suddenly out of nowhere a 705th TD appeared. The first shot knocked out the lead, and the second the trail. it then destroyed the center three with three rounds. Five tanks...five kills. Thanks for my Dad. Jeff Scoggins

  • Dear Sir or Madam, My father Jack Boudreaux (1919-1995)served in the 808th Tank Destroyer Battalion. I have approximately 90 photos (almost all unidentified) that was taken in Austria and probably Germany. Dad didn't take the photos himself. One of his friends mailed them to him after the war. Would you be interested in posting them on your site? Perhaps a vet or a relative of one might be able to have a pic of their ancestor. They are all originals but I would be willing to scan them a few at a time and upload directly to your site or to your email address.

  • My father was a driver in the 640th. He told me about running over a land mine in the Philippines. The event was recorded in the Operational Reports. Very interesting. Would like to find a roster of his outfit.

  • My father-in-law, Frank Cavolo, was in the 821st TDB. He was in the 821st from Normandy to Germany. He was originally from Brooklyn, NY and now lives in Orlando, FL.

James Mills

  • My Father was Captain Elbert B. Mills of the 602nd TD battalion recon then B company. retired from Ft. Knox in 1960. Interested in any history of the 602nd.

Daniel Ramsey

  • Additional information my father was Walter E. Ramsey and entered the Army in 1943 in Indiana. He was a tank driver and served during the battle of the bulge and the Ruhr pocket campaign. His tank Commander was Sgt Joe Beavers from Indiana. His Lt was LT. Moore. His gunner was Cpl.Coler 8)
