• I am writing a biography to be entitled "Cold Blooded Honour", which will centre around 5 family members, my tanker Dad being one.Your site is such an eye-opener. In 1961 Dad drove us to Normandy and then for the next 3 weeks, followed by road the route his tanks took to Remagen and to his last battle,at Aachen. His tank was on the front page in Stars and Stripes as hhe was one of the 1st Yanks across the bridge.

• Would have loved to seen more pictures of the 812th Battalion. I have a copy of the Thanksgiving Menu from their dinner in 1943. My father, Clifford H. Rice served with this company. He passed away in 2003 at the age of 83. He was very proud to have served and talked about his ordeals often.

• Hello, my father was Peter Lemone of San Francisco. He was with the 635th Field Artillery Battalion "Prime Movers". I have the book about this Batallion: The Story Of Drumfire. I have a few pictures of my father with his war buddies taken after the war in Germany. He passed away in June 2003. He often spoke of his buddies from New England.
