I want to email someone who is an expert on the Tank Destroyers of WWII. I have 2 photos of my uncle in a unit, but could not get anymore info from the Army on him. All I know is he was in a half track unit, and he was at the battle of the Remagen Bridge in Germany. The records got burnt in a fire in the 70's. I I could get was proof of his enlistment time.

I really appreciate the history in this sight. I was named after my uncle, Sgt. Robert Lee Brittain of the 636 Tank Destroyer Battallion. He rarely discussed his service, but what he did say is supported by the information here. Thank you so much for time and effort you have put in to this sight.

I'm looking for any information about any 9th Army Personnel who had contact with RAF Flight Officer Robert V. Jubb, shot down near Dusseldorf on 11/2/44. He found a 9th Army artillery battery on 11/4/44 and was turned over to the British Army in Namur, Belgium. :zzz

My father was Sherwin "Sonny" Leibovitz, he served in the 658th Tank Destroyer Battalion. We found after his death about 200 pictures from his time in the Philippines. I will see if I can scan and add to the sight. Thank You all for your service...and God Bless!

Just found out last nite a neighbor on my street William L. Cook was in the 704th TDB! I see him walking alot and new he was in WWII from the cap he wears. I'm so proud to know him and just wanted to take a moment to honor him and all the military people for their services. Thank you all!

My father was Gene Spiker and was in the 635. Passed away in Dec 96. I have really enjoyed the site thank you very much for all work and effort that was put into this site.

I just cannot believe that I'm the only family member trying to learn about my grandfathers military history. Myself being retired military may drive my interests. My grandpa (John W. Eskins, Tec 4) was attached to the 691st TD Bn. He passed away March 14, 1997, however my grandma (Helen) is with us and can shovel snow with the best, but not much longer. She's in Neb & I'm in Cal, & erks me that nobody is quick to take over her duties. So, as I'm trying to put an almost blank puzzle together, I'm looking for any information about his active service. The internet & Grandma can recite some letters, which gave me a minimal jump start. I learned that his service record is available to the public through the National Archives, but absolutely zero information on him that I can find. Possible 1973 fire? I know he earned a Bronze Star and nobody knows the truth. My dad said said it was fixing guns, but you and I know better. Any tid-bit about him, a story, or even an active duty photo is golden. Oh, I'm retired military & been through wringer, so no subject is too taboo. Thank you, my friends.

My Grandfather Juan J. Pena an Army veteran of WWII served in the European Theater in north Africa in 804 Tank Destroyer Batallion, Company C. I just want to say that he was a great man that served his country to the fullest. any photos or anything at all that could be surfaced would be great.
