Bob had originally been in the 670th but transferred into the 671st late in the war. Harold passed away on June 24, 2019. Photo courtesy of Bob and Jim Van Vonderen.
A photo taken in later 1945, shows Robert "Bob" Van Vonderen on left with Joe Battasta center and an unknown soldier on right. They were all members of B Company of the 671st. Photo courtesy of Bob and Jim Van Vonderen.
