826th TD Battalion
This photo taken in August of 1962, at the "826 Dogface Barbeque" which includes members of the 826th Amphibious Tractor Battalion. The unit started its life on December 21, 1941, at Camp Roberts, CA, as a Heavy Self-Propelled Tank Destroyer unit. Shown in the front row, sitting and kneeling, L to R, is T.T. Houghton, Anthony Schenone, Henry “Hank” Giachino, Raymond G. Safreno, Salvador Meir, Bosco B. Jaich, and an unknown.
