My father served with the 807th Tank Destroyer Battalion as the drove to Metz, Germany. His name was Ralph C. Miller. He passed away on May 9, 2006.

My grandfather was Joe Crispy. He was in the 821st TD Battalion. I have a CD of scanned pictures from a scrap book of people in this unit. He recieved two bronze stars from the 29th infantry division. He told me he was the first tank to cross the roer bridge 24 Feb.1945 If any knows him or would like to see the pictures. My Dad, John F. Smith from Creighton, Pa. served in the 701 Tank Destroyers in North Africa and Italy. He never would talk about his experiences but now that he has passed away and I watch programs on the History Channel I become more and more aware of what he did for our country and for us. My dad, Clifford H Willman Sr was asigned to the 607th tank destroyer battalion.
He was killed in a fire september 17th 1963. I was 3 at the time so I did not know him. I want to thank you for posting this info so that I can learn about his service. He was decorated with a Purple Heart, Europian African Middle Easteren Campaign Medal with 4 bronze stars, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal.
He served in Normandy, Rhineland,Ardennes, Central Europe.
