• My Father was a PFC who served with the 645th TD. He never said much about his war time duty. I recently came into posession of his unit patch and letters from him to my Mother. He did so much and said so little. Thank you for the web site. My Sons, all three, all read it and have a new appreciation of the hardships.

• My father PFC Fred Otte fought with the 823rd TD Battalion. (Company C, I believe) Like many of his generation, he never had much to say about his experiences in Europe. I never pressed him because I knew it was painful for him. Thanks to websites like this, I'm able to learn more about what these heroes went through. Thank you & God Bless you for taking the time to honor these men!

• My uncle, Tec 5 Nicholas Paulachok, was a motorcycle scout with the 703rd TD Battalion. He was killed in action in March 1945. • I am the nephew of Lt Lyle Williams of the 802 tank destoryer battalion landing at normady july 1, 1944. Today, November 26, 2010 with Lyle at his home in lapeer Michigan at he age of 91. He remembers all the battles is in good spirits and praised his fellow soliders. He would be interested in hearing from anyone (including family) who knew him in the 802. • My father, William E. Halley, served as a heavy machine gunner in B Company of the 773rd, joining the unit in Dillingen and then taking part in the terrible fight to hold Oberwampach, Luxembourg at the southern flank of the Bulge. His company ended the war in Czechoslovakia, "spear-heading" for the 90th Infantry Division. I will never forget his sacrifice nor will I let my children forget. I love you dad!

• I am a internet friend of Art Pelkey. I am also a vet pf ww2. I was with the 1st inf. div. I have sure enjoyed my e-mails with art and given the chance to read of his unit in the great war. The 774th was not with my div. but I know that they did their job. Hats off to you guys.

• Hello everyone! I am the proud grandson and great nephew to two WWII servicemen. My great uncle Andrew was a member of the 636 tank destroyer battalion (Company B)during WWII. I have a lot of his memorabilia and photographs. I am trying to track his travels during the war. I have some names and locations on the backs of pictures. Does anyone have suggestions on where to start?
