Looking for reports of 601st Recon Co. from 19 Sep 1943 - 21 Sep 1943. What was "hard Luck" mentioned by Josowitz on page 19, 4th paragraph.

My dads name was Lelborn Lee Leibli. He was a staff sgt with the 1st Platoon, Recon Co.,
603rd Tank Destroyer Battalion. He had his rifle shot out of his hands by a German soldier. He fell off the armored car and broke his hand. I would say he was lucky. I write this in honor of him.
He passed away December 4 2003.

My father was in the 773rd T.D.,he was wounded in the Forest De Parroy, outside of Luneville France, I just returned from there, The J-pac of the U.S. gov just Identified the remains of his crew mates , who perished in the T,D. Oct 9th 1944, my father survived
