Looking for information on my grandfather's (Pfc. Harry D. Federico) unit during the Bulge. He was captured at Wiltz 12/19/44 and marched to Muhlburg Germany to Stalag IV B. Truly appreciate any information- fellow soldiers who were POWs with him, or who served in rear eschelon (he was a cook). Thanks in advance!

My Grandfather Stephen Sleeper was in the 635th. I have a picture of his DD214 certificate. I'm looking for any photos, or references to his participation, actions, or involvement with the unit from 1941 through summer of 1945. Is anyone still alive from this time frame? I know there are a a very few remaining individuals who are still with us. Please reach out if you know anyone..peace love and respect for those who served. Go 635th!

My Great Uncle Lt. Colonel Frank S. Pritchard commander 614th. My cousin told me about this site and I have read a lot of the documentation. I just passed this to my daughter who is now researching my great Uncle. I never met him. My mother told me many stories of him and my Uncles as well. I possess one of his pistols that he gifted my mother. This is an amazing site and I thank each and every one of you who are a part of it's creation. God Bless all of you.

My grandfather was George Webb Rowell of the 703rd tank battalion company C. I was so glad to find this site and be able to read about my grandfathers company and their exploits. I was hoping to find the reports of when he was awarded the silver star, but so far I've had no luck.

I am searching for any info on 1LT Nathan Baskind who was listed as MIA after being ambushed near Cherbourg on 23 June 1944 while leading a recon. His body was recently identified in 2024 and he was reburied in the American Cemetery above Omaha Beach on June 23, 2024. BTW, this TD website is awesome. Please keep up the good work!!

Great site I found the record of my dad Mendenhall Alder Bird, a sergeant, being wounded in Mortain. He was shot in the head and all my life he was pulling pieces of shrapnel out of the side of his head that would work to the surface. He passed in 1995 but I still have all of his training info, uniforms, souvenirs, and his helmet which was destroyed in battle.

I am the son of Thomas L Corey of the 630th tank Destroyer. My father, Edgar Waller and a couple of other men had the first reunion of these men and families of the 630th TD in Savannah ga in 1963. I was seven and had no idea of who all these people were related. They acted as if they were brothers, sisters and cousins. In fact, they were. The men bonded under the most adverse conditions our country had experienced, the wives, children and girlfriends became family through the letters of loved ones in the war. They became my family and treated me as such. They were, their children are, the finest group of people I have had the pleasure of knowing. Those men survived some of the most inhumane conditions one could imagine. I will always hold these men with the utmost respect and admiration because even enduring these terrible conditions, during these reunions, I never heard them complain about what they went thru but laughed and joked about the situations they encountered or the humor that was played on each other. They were glad to be home but the holes were there from the ones that didn’t return. The reunions were every three years then every two years and finally every year until there were no more which lasted over fifty plus years. Thank you Soldiers of the 630th TD, the families of these men and the incredible memories I am blessed to have. You are greatly missed.
