Greetings.
I found this site looking up a patch on my dads WW2 uniform. He was in the pacific in WW2. His name was Claude F Lyons from Rock Camp Ohio. My dad was in the US Army 1941 to 1945. After reading over your site I understand a little more now of what he and so many others did for all of us. I cant put in to words how much I thank you all. please contact me if you wish any time. God bless.

My dad (Nels Forsberg) was in the 899th throughout WWII. His records were lost in the fire and so we don't have accurate information on what he did. He passed away on July 4th 1995. He had a bronze star, silver star and purple heart. We know about the purple heart but don't know what the stars were for. He was always proud of the men he served with, and felt they were the best of the best.

I am Col. Harrison's granddaughter. Thank you for taking the time to display this information. My grandfather lived to age 89, despite his extensive injuries. I am so glad to see his accomplishments listed here. I am trying to piece together his experience during WWII, as he did not speak of it.

Looking for reports of 601st Recon Co. from 19 Sep 1943 - 21 Sep 1943. What was "hard Luck" mentioned by Josowitz on page 19, 4th paragraph.
