I found your site while doing research on my uncle's WW 2 uniform. It has the same patch displayed on your web site. I was wondering if I could find out what the bars on the jacket signify. There is a 5th Army patch on the left sleeve. The bar on the right front of the jacket is yellow/gold with very thin red, white and blue stripes. The bar on the left front has bars of (from left to right) brown, thin green, white , red, wide green, thin blue, white, red, wide green , thin white, thin black, thin white then finishes with brown. Thanks

A very well conceived and presented site It's nice to have a dedicated T.D. site since many of the individual units seem to be vanishing

Very nice site. I was doing some research into my artillery unit history and came across some info pertaining to the 813th TD and thought I would look into it. That's how I found this site.
