Is 5 the best? If not then 1. At any rate, this site is top notch. Its great! I'm a military historian and am putting together my own data base about WW II with commnaders and staffs,
MOH and DSC recipients, unit citations, campaign participation credits and unit histories. Keep up the good work! I agree with you that these men were and are real heroes and what they did needs to be remembered.
PS I have the book on the 814th. I think I got from Scholar's Bookshelf a few years ago.

I am doing research for a compilation of my father's letters home during the war. He was a Captain with the 893rd tank destroyer unit. I loved finding his signature on the action reports. I am hoping to give the letters context for what he was experiencing at the time they were written. This site has been great.
